Oak Ridge City Election - Referendum and Candidates to be on the Ballot
General Obligation Bond Referendum
Shall the City of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, issue general obligation bonds and/or enter into one or more loan agreements with a public building authority in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $6,000,000 for the purpose of providing funds for the (i) construction, improvement, equipping and repair of streets, roads, parking facilities and bridges, greenways and related lighting infrastructure, sidewalks, retaining walls relating to public improvements, storm drainage, parks and recreation areas, and related site work pertaining thereto, and the acquisition of all property, real and personal, appurtenant to the foregoing, (ii) construction and equipping of extensions and improvements to the water and sewer system of the Municipality; (iii) construction and equipping of extensions and improvements to the electric system of the Municipality; (iv) payment of legal, fiscal, administrative, architectural and engineering costs incident to the projects and incident to the indebtedness described herein and (v) payment of capitalized interest during construction of the projects and for up to six months thereafter.
