Qualifying deadline for offices on a primary ballot - 12:00 noon, February 16, 20062

Candidates appointed by a political party by methods other than a primary election for any office to be filled in a regular August election for which a February, March or May primary has been called shall be certified by the party executive committee to the election commission by the qualifying deadline for the primary. If no primary is held, party nominees shall be certified no later than 12:00 noon, April 6, 2006. TCA ' 2-5-101(e)

*The early voting period for the May 2 Democratic and Republican county primaries will be Wednesday, April 12 through Thursday, April 27. Voters may vote at either of two early voting centers--one in Oak Ridge at the Oak Ridge Mall and one in Clinton at the Clinton Community Center. Early voting centers will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturdays. Voters should note that both centers will be closed for the Easter holidays, Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15. Any Anderson County registered voter may vote at either center.
